BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 27. The Small and Medium Business Development Agency (KOBIA) has signed a memorandum of understanding to support Azerbaijani and Turkish companies operating in the transportation sector, Trend reports.
According to KOBIA, the memorandum of understanding between the agency, TOBB UND Lojistik Yatırım AŞ (TOBBUND), the Association of Customs Representations and Logistics Companies of Azerbaijan (AGTL) and the SME Foreign Economic Activity Support Operator (XIFDO) was signed at the Baku SME Center.
The memorandum was signed by Orkhan Mammadov, Chairman of the Board of Directors of KOBIA, Mehmet Uylukcu, General Director of TOBBUND, Kamran Habibov, Executive Director of XIFDO, and Vusal Gasimov, Executive Director of AGTL.
The memorandum, according to KOBIA, envisions various measures to support the foreign economic activities of Azerbaijani and Turkish carriers and SME representatives operating in the relevant field, such as the exchange of information and experience in the field of transit and logistics, the preparation and implementation of joint events and projects, and joint activities to develop business relations.
The challenges raised by the Memorandum of Understanding, as well as potential for cooperation, were discussed during the signing ceremony.
