BAKU, Azerbaijan, January 23. Iran Tractor Manufacturing Company (also known as ITMCO) has improved its export performance significantly for the first ten months of the current Iranian year (March 21, 2023 through January 20, 2024), CEO of the company Mostafa Vahidzadeh said, Trend reports.
Vahidzadeh mentioned that the ITMCO exported more tractors of various kinds, with a 25 percent increase in value and a 21 percent increase in quantity compared to the same period in the previous Iranian year.
He also reported that the company sold 2,500 tractors abroad, earning $32 million in the span of 10 months.
The CEO added that the total value of tractors and technical equipment exported by ITMCO and its 12 subsidiaries reached $42 million, which was 12 percent higher than the same period last year.
Vahidzadeh further stated that the company and its subsidiaries produced more than 29,000 tractors of different types in 10 months, which was 16 percent more than the same period last year.
He also pointed out that the company and its subsidiaries manufactured 32,000 engines of various kinds in 10 months, which was 13 percent more than the same period last year.
The director added that the company and its subsidiaries also made about 55,000 tons of metal casting products in 10 months, which was 10 percent more than the same period last year.
Iran Tractor Manufacturing Company was established in 1968 with its headquarters in East Azerbaijan Province. Over the past 50 years, by holding 12 subordinate companies and having the capacity to produce more than 30,000 units of tractors per year, the company has become the largest and biggest agricultural machinery producer in the entire Middle East.
There are 8 branches of Iran Tractor Manufacturing Company operating in Iran’s East Azerbaijan Province, 2 branches outside the province, and 2 branches outside Iran.
