Kamali noted that the company’s experts performed various operations, such as repairing and replacing equipment and devices and restoring pipelines, to achieve this growth.
He also said that the company could produce crude oil at its maximum capacity despite the sanctions imposed on Iran.
According to him, Gachsaran Oil and Gas Production Company operates in a 150 km by 400 km area across four Iranian provinces (Fars, Khuzestan, Bushehr, Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad).
CEO also pointed out that the GOGPC has 23 oil wells, 16 of which are currently producing crude oil. It also runs 857 oil wells with 105 separator equipment.
Iran's Gachsaran Oil & Gas Production Company (GOGPC) is operating under the National Iranian South Oil Company (NISOC). The company is engaged in the fields of oil production, refining, and transportation, as well as natural gas and gas condensate production. The company has the capacity to produce 652,000 barrels of crude oil per day and 561,000 barrels of crude oil daily.
At present, 950 million cubic feet (about 26.9 million cubic meters) of gas are produced from the company's fields. Of the mentioned volume, 800 million cubic feet (about 22.6 million cubic meters) are supplied to the plant of Bidboland Gas Refining Company, while 150 million cubic feet (about 4.24 million cubic meters) of gas are pumped into oil wells.
On May 8, 2018, the US announced its withdrawal from the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) between Iran and the 5+1 group (Russia, China, the UK, France, the US, and Germany) and imposed new sanctions against Iran as of November 2018.
Over the past period, the sanctions have affected Iranian oil exports and more than 700 banks, companies, and individuals. The sanctions have resulted in the freezing of Iranian assets abroad.
