BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 20. Iran’s imports from Kyrgyzstan dropped by 23.7 percent in value and 51.6 percent in volume for the first ten months of the current Iranian year (March 21, 2023 through January 20, 2024), compared to the same period last year, Trend reports.
Over the course of ten months, Iran imported 2,590 tons of goods worth $5.11 million, as was reflected in the data from the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA).
Meanwhile, in the same period of the previous Iranian year, the imports stood at 5,360 tons worth $6.7 million.
The main import items were agricultural products and phosphoric acid from Kyrgyzstan.
In the 10th month (December 22, 2023 through January 20, 2024), Iran imported 273 tons of goods from Kyrgyzstan, valued at $198,000.
The IRICA’s latest data shows that Iran's overall imports for 10 months amounted to nearly 32.7 million tons worth $54.3 billion, representing an 11.6 percent increase in value and a 6-percent increase in volume from the same period last Iranian year.
