BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 11. Exports of non-oil products from Kermanshah province (western Iran) grew by 23 percent in value and five percent in volume during the first 11 months of the current Iranian year (March 21, 2023 through February 19, 2024), compared to the same period in the last year, Ali Asghar Abbaszadeh from the Kermanshah Province Customs Office said, Trend reports.
According to him, the province exported 6.59 million tons of non-oil products worth $3.03 billion.
Abbaszadeh added that the exported goods were mainly fittings and iron products, ceramics, fruits and vegetables, building stones, dairy products, rubber products, etc.
Meanwhile, Kermanshah province operates two border checkpoints and five border markets.
Products from this province are mainly exported to Iraq and other neighboring countries.
The latest data from the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA) shows that the country exported a total of 125 million tons of non-oil products valued at $44.9 billion in the first 11 months of the current Iranian year. This represents an 8.87 percent drop in value but a 11.4 percent rise in volume compared to the same period last year.
