The State Oil Fund of Azerbaijan (SOFAZ) has transferred 463bn manats to the State Fund for social Development of Refugees and Internally Displaced Persons (IDP) to cover the needs of refugees and internally persons since the implementation of the relevant presidential decree dated 2001. The funds were spent on the construction of 6411 houses for refugees and IDPs, the SOFAZ announced quoting the Executive Director of the SOFAZ, Samir Sharifov.
The construction of 2522 houses more for refugees and internally displaced persons is nearing to completion.
Earlier the SOFAZ was announced to allocate 202bn manats for the improvement of social needs of refugees and internally displaced persons in 2005.
