The Ministry of Taxes goes on to carry out operative tax control aimed at averting buy-and-sale and exchange of currency in public venues, the report of the Tax Ministry says. These measures are conducted also in the regions, Trend reports.
For 10 months of 2005, 76 units were subject to such inspections within the country and violations of law were found on all of them. Protocols were drawn up.
In regard to the Decree of the Azerbaijan’s President of 29 January 2004, regulating the work on preventing administrative violations of law related to the use of law on the currency regulation, the control for buy-and-sale and exchange of currency has been referred to the competence of the tax bodies.
