Town & regional development strategy worked out for three Azeri town

The Azerbaijani Economic Development Ministry and the Asian Development Bank (ADB) signed $500,000 grant agreement �Towns alliance’. The program is jointly financed by UNDP and Israeli embassy, the UNDP Baku Office told Trend.

The goal of the project is to increase the mobilization capability of the strategy planning, manage the resources of the Azerbaijani towns to prevent poverty and promote economic development.

18-month project will be implemented by the Secretariat on Poverty Reduction and Economic Development under the Azerbaijani Ministry.

The implementation of the strategy will start in the towns Ganja, Sheki and Mingachevir. It is the first similar project implementing in the South Caucasus.
