Int’l Epizootic Bureau, Turkish Agriculture Ministry denied rumors on revealing of bird flu in country

The International Epizootic Bureau and the Turkish Agriculture and Rural Affairs Ministry denied the rumors on spreading of bird flu in the Turkish regions bordering with Azerbaijan in reply to the inquiry sent by the State Veterinary Service under the Azerbaijani Agriculture Ministry, Trend reports referring to the press release spread by the Service on Friday.

Several days ago Turkish media spread information on existence of bird flu in the Turkish Igdyr province bordering with the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic (AR) and death of 300 birds in the Aralik settlement due to the disease.

The press release notes that according to the International Epizootic Bureau and the Turkish Agriculture and Rural Affairs Ministry, the reason for death of the birds was poisoning.
