Consultant of EBRD's project on water supply determined

From March the consortium, uniting New Zeeland Castaliya and Azerbaijani AzSpetsPromInvest Consulting Engineers (ASPI), set to rendering of consulting services in the framework of the Asian Development Banks project Improvement of water supply and sanitarian services in Aghdash, Goychay and Nakhchivan. The contract was concluded for 18 months, where the services are estimated at $500,000, ASPI told Trend.

The task of the consultant includes assistance to legal base to fulfill the purposes of the project, liquidation of water channels and establishment of joint stock companies on their base, restructuring, transaction on application of the contract on management of new water channels.

The total value of the project comprises $39.9m. The Asian Development Bank allocated $30m for financing of the project, while $9.9m fell to the government. Structural reforms are planned to be carried out for development of water supply system, infrastructure in Aghdash, Goychay and Nakhchivan during implementation of the project till 2010.
