Black Sea Bank for Trade and Development (BBTD) is ready to expand to Azerbaijan, Trend reports quoting Haralampos Zarukhas, Secretary General of the bank. The min attention, Mr Zarukhas said, will be paid to governments priority-driven issues like financial sector, agriculture and infrastructure.
In financial sector, he outlined banking and investment funds. Having commenced its work in Azerbaijan, BBTD already involved International Bank of Azerbaijan, UniBank and Azeri Microfinancing Bank.
At the moment, talks are held on new banks involvement; new agreements are due to sign June 13 in Baku. Secretary General said the same day at least three agreements will be signed on opening credit lines for trade and export financing.
In agrarian sector, it is suggested to grant aid to food goods processing industry. In infrastructure sector, priority-driven issues are transport and telecommunications.
