The preparation of the project on expansion of the automobile road from Azizbayov circle to the airport named after Heyadr Aliyev will be completed by the end of 2006, Mirgasim Abbasov, the director of the sector of investment policy, finance and credit of the Transport Ministry, told journalists, Trend reports.
Slovakian Doprostav was involved in the preparation of one part of the project. The project intends the expansion of the 14-km road from 4 strips to 8 strip.
According to Abbasov, majority of finance for the construction work will be born at the expense of the state. At present, talks are held with the international financial institutions for attracting additional finance.
