The next consignment carrying the property and armaments of the Tbilisi Garrison of Group of Russian Troops in Caucasus will arrive in Azerbaijan on 23 November, Trend reports with reference to the Azerbaijan State Railway Department (ASRD). The consignment will leave Azerbaijan (it will be sent to Russian side in Yalama border station) on 24 November at midday, the same source reported.
8 tons of property and 23 units of armaments are sent with the consignment, including 4 BTR, 2 BRD, several retriever and automobile technique. On 16 November, a consignment of armaments and property belonging to the Tbilisi Garrison was sent to Armenia to the Russian Military base in Gurmi.
One more consignment of Russian military armaments is expected to travel through the territory of Azerbaijan next week. In general 100 units of armaments and 350 tons of property and ammunition, including 387 servicemen, have been withdrawn from the Tbilisi Garrison.
According to the ASRD representatives, the Russians have appealed for the 400 carriages carrying the military armaments to travel via the territory of Azerbaijan. However, recently it was decided to increase the number of carriages. The carriages will be monitored in accordance with the security requirements adopted in CIS and Azerbaijan.
