Hadi Rajabli, Chairman of the Permanent Parliamentary Commission on Social Policy, informed Trend that the targeted social aid which is allotted to people on low income in Azerbaijan, will be offered to a larger number of people. He noted that compared to last year, the amount of targeted social aid has doubled.
Furthermore the amount of social aid has also grown, comprising of 35 manats, against 40 manats last year. This means that the targeted social aid can be given to a larger amount of people, MP Rajabli noted.
Regarding changes to the relevant legislation to define the level of poverty after the increase of prices of energy resources, utilities and passenger transportation, MP Rajabli said that the issue would be considered in mid-February.
During this period the services and products that are expected to increase will be confirmed. After that, we will take adequate steps, he stressed.
