The Azerbaijan Finance Ministry has made public the structure of capitalization of the insurance market of the country. Trend has been informed in the Ministry, that the International Insurance Company (ICC) has the largest authorized capital. Its paid authorized capital has been formed at the level of 8,8 mln. AZN. The share of IIC in the aggregate volume of the authorized capital of the Azerbaijani insurers is 22,3%. According to the amount of the capital, MBASK is the leader. Its capital is 3,751 mln. AZN. Khalg Sighiorta and Standard Insurance have the authorized capitals at about 2 mln. AZN. Eight insurance companies have formed their authorized capital at the level of the minimal requirement to the capital of the insurers - 0,7 mln. AZN.
A total of 29 insurance companies are currently operating in Azerbaijan, and to January 1, 2007, the aggregate amount of their capitals had reached 39,413 mln. AZN.
