The National Bank of Azerbaijan announced the results on the capitalization of the banking sector of the country to January 1, 2007. Trend has been informed by NBA, that in the reporting period, the three banks paid their aggregate capital within the range between 3,5 mln. AZN and 5 mln. AZN. The weight in the total volume of the capital of all the banks operating in the country is just 2,4%. The other 29 banks with the weight in 45,6% formed within the range between 5 mln. AZN to 10 mln. AZN, and the rest 11 ones (52%) вЂ" exceeds 10 mln. AZN each.
According to the schedule on increasing the minimal amount of the aggregate capital, to January 1, 2007, it was to be not less than 8,2 mln. AZN. However, the five banks' capital does not meet with the NBA requirements. The aggregate volume of the capitals operating in Azerbaijan reaches 603,3 mln. AZN.
