Azersun Holding to Expand Business in Several Russian Regions

Khalilova / The issue on the opening of subsidiary enterprises of the Azersun Holding in Russia is under discussion, the head of the Trade Representative Office of Russian Federation in Azerbaijan, Yuri Shchedrin , reported on the 25th of June. Several versions are viewed (opening in Moscow and Tula regions). The holding has plans to constructs tea-packing factories, as well as enterprises on fruit preserving.

The growing of tea in the Krasnodar Territory of Russia is intended. The business is established in the Azerbaijani regions of Astara and Lankaran . "The proposal on growing tea in the Krasnodar Territory has been prepared and it has been submitted to the administration of the Krasnodar Territory. Given the increased interest of the Administration of Krasnodar to Azerbaijan, we hope they will be interested in the project," Shchedrin said.

Azerbaijan is already exporting tea to the Russian market. The export of tea to Russia made up 3.1% of total export from Azerbaijan in January-February.
