Trend U.Ismaylova / On 23 August the representatives of the Belarusian 'Gomeldrev' JSC will arrive in Baku to sign an agreement with the Azerbaijani Company 'Azles Export-Import' regarding the establishment of a JV to realize a furniture business in Azerbaijan, said the Belarusian Company's Deputy Director General for Economy and Marketing, Nokolay Gevrasev, on 21 August.
'Azles Export-Import' was unavailable for comment.
In August the shareholders of 'Gomeldrev' planned to open a furniture shop in Baku. Earlier the Company had been delivering veneer and other material to Azerbaijan. Currently furniture is produced in Italy, Romania, Turkey, Poland, Czech and Iran with local furniture being manufactured in small numbers.
'Gomeldrev' JSC is one of the large furniture enterprises in Belarus.
