Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend / In 2008, gas consumption in Azerbaijan will increase from 8bln to 11bln cu m. According to the forecasts, gas consumption will keep rising annually by 500mln cu m till 2011.
Gas production is also expected to grow in the country. In 2007, it will constitute 9.149bln cu m, in 2008 - 11.550bln cu m, in 2009 - 12.075bln cu m, in 2010 - 12.600bln cu m, in 2011 - 13.125bln cu m.
In 2008, electric energy production in Azerbaijan is forecasted to make up 25.259bln KW/hour, while in 2007 it was 25.077bln KW/hour. Electric energy consumption will amount to 22.332bln KW/hour in 2008 as compared to 22.238bln KW/hour in 2007.
