Azerbaijan, Baku, 3 June / Trend / From January to May, the Marketing and Economic Operations Department of SOCAR exported over 1mln tons of oil products from the oil refinery plants in Azerbaijan, while export in the same period of 2007 comprised 978,000 tons.
Bitumen and lubricants were not exported during this period.
The oil products in Azerbaijan are produced at two Baku refineries- with a total capacity of 20mln tons a year. Both refineries are included in the SOCAR which annually refines over 6mln tons oil produced in the onshore and offshore fields.
