In January Ekol Muhendislik Xidmetleri CJSC refined 1.55 million cubic meters of industrial waters in two refineries of Azerbaijan, JSC said on Feb. 2. Industrial waters were refined and given to refineries for repeated use.
Of total volume of refined industrial waters 830,000 cubic meters fell on Azneftyag refinery but the rest 720,000 cubic meters on Baku Heydar Aliyev refinery. Roughly 207 tones of oil sludge were processed and neutralized in refineries.
Both refineries with total production capacity at 20 million tones of oil are a part of SOCAR. Annually it processes roughly six million tones of raw materials extracted on shore and offshore by own means.
There are 57 oil and gas fields in Azerbaijan, 18 offshore and the rest ones onshore.
Ekol Muhendislik Xidmetleri CJSC was established on Mar. 1, 2006 to solve ecological problems in the Apsheron Peninsula. Its co-founders are SOCAR (the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan) - 51 percent and Lancer S.A. Services - 49 percent, SOCAR official website says.
