The Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili will attend ceremony of signing of the inter-governmental agreement on Nabucco gas pipeline to be signed in Ankara on July 13. Saakashvili will arrive in Ankara on July 12 evening, Georgian president's administration told to Trend .

Turkey, Austria, Bulgaria, Hungary and Romania will sign the document on July 13, European commission representative said.

Georgia will not sign document as the document must be drawn up by countries financing pipeline construction. But Georgia is transit country. Georgia has already signed the corresponding agreement in Budapest.

The project envisages gas transportation to European countries avoiding Russia via Georgia, Azerbaijan and Bulgaria. Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Iran and Iraq are named among potential sources of energy resources.

According to the information, one of reasons of long drawing up the document was searches of compromises with Ankara. Ankara made the following tough term: 15 percent of gas to be pumped via Nabucco must remain in Turkey for domestic use or re-export. Project capacity of mainline is 3,300 kilometers-30 billion cubic meters of gas per year.

It is unclear whether EU agrees to meet this requirement of the Turkish side. According to information of business circles, regulation on 15 quota is under coordination.
