In January-July, SOCAR Georgia Gas (a subsidiary of the SOCAR Energy Georgia) sold over 65 million cubic meters of commercial gas on the Georgian market, head of SOCAR Georgia Gas Anar Mammadov said. SOCAR Energy Georgia is a subsidiary of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR).
Some 8.5 million cubic meters of a commercial gas was sold on the Georgian market in June.
According to forecast estimations, SOCAR Georgia Gas will sell 90-100 million cubic meters of commercial gas in Georgian market in the second half of 2009. "Actual volumes of commercial natural gas sales depend on the situation of the market," Mammadov said.
SOCAR Energy Georgia deals with distribution and marketing in the market of oil and oil products in Georgia. Co-founders of SOCAR Georgia are SOCAR with 51 percent stake, Petro-Trans FZCO with 32.7 percent and Ivan Chkhartishvili with 16.3 percent.
