Azerbaijan, Baku, August 28 / Trend /
BASF Concern has increased prices of carbonate production in all regions of the world, and the decision to raise prices will take effect immediately (or within the time frame corresponding to the conditions of contracts), the BASF Baku office said. BASF increases prices for the following carbonate products: Ethylene carbonate S, Propylene carbonate S, carbonate mixture (Mix 50), carbonate mixture (Mix 60).
Increase makes up to €100 per metric ton for shipments to Europe and to $100 (or local currency equivalent) per metric ton for deliveries to North America and Asia.
This price adjustment is necessary in terms of implementing an ongoing program of BASF to ensure the highest quality products and services supplied to customers from around the world, with rising costs for raw materials, the report said.
Carbonates are intermediate chemicals used in the manufacture of lubricants and polyurethane products, in foundries, as well as in the coating.
BASF produces the above-mentioned types of carbonates in industrial plant, which is part of the industrial complex in Ludwigshafen (Germany).
