SOCAR's joint venture - Azeri Fugro (SOCAR-60 percent and Fuqro NV-40 percent) began to execute the contract to drill exploratory wells upon the order of the Baku metro, the company said.
About 38 wells at a depth of 30-50 meters will be drilled within the contract. These wells are drilled within the research work of the Baku Metro to expand the number of stations.
Three wells have been drilled, the company said. Drilling is carried out in various places of Absheron peninsula.
