Azerbaijan, Baku, July 9 / Trend /

Ekol Engineering Services directed roughly 3,000 cubic meters of oil cuttings for recycling at the Heydar Aliyev Baku Oil Refinery, the company reported. The refinery is owned by the State Oil Company of the Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR).

The company removed oil cuttings from a tank and transferred them to containers for recycling.

The tank was cleaned and recommissioned, which improved industrial waste water treatment quality at the refinery. The company is working to clean other pools to protect industrial water.

Ekol was created March 1, 2006 to resolve ecological problems on the Absheron Peninsula. Its cofounders are SOCAR (51 percent) and Lancer SA Services (49 percent).
