Georgia builds 110-kilovolt transmission line for Poti FIZ

Georgia is constructing a 110-kilovolt transmission line to provide power to the Poti Free Industrial Zone (FIZ).

The Georgian State Energy System is developing the project. The line will run 36 kilometers and connect the Menge and Poti-4 substations.

The Poti FIZ will receive 60-65 megawatts of energy in the initial stages. After the construction of the Khorga substation, the figure will increase to 105 megawatts.

The project budget is 8 million lari.
