The Sate Oil Company of the Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) has commissioned two more petrol stations under its own brand in Baku.

The both stations were opened on the road leading to the airport, Baku's settlements and suburban tracts. One of them is located near the Sabunchu circle and the second - on the road to the Gala village.

Location of the patrols station here is very popular, as there are no such facilities in this section of the road. The company also plans to open filling stations on the 70 km of the Baku-Salyan road in the coming days.

SOCAR head Rovnag Abdullayev earlier said that this year the joint venture SOCAR Petroleum intends to open in Azerbaijan seven petrol stations more. Investment in construction of petrol stations in Azerbaijan is 20 million manat. SOCAR intends to open 26-30 stations in Azerbaijan. Also, great attention is paid to open the stations at the exits and entries to the country.

The first three petrol stations under SOCAR brand were opened May 7, 2010. All three petrol stations are located in Baku - on the highway leading to the Baku International Airport named after Heydar Aliyev, Zikh highway and Bibi-Heybat.

It is planned to open 10 petrol stations more in Azerbaijan next year.

SOCAR Petroleum's shareholders are SOCAR (51 percent) and the U.S AP International (49 percent). SOCAR Petroleum was registered Jan. 21, 2008
