U.S. increases oil products imports from Kazakhstan

The U.S. imported more than 5.9 million barrels of petroleum products from Kazakhstan in January-November 2010 compared to 3.89 million barrels in January-November 2009, the U.S. State Energy Information Administration (EIA) reported.

In November the U.S. imported about 444,000 barrels of oil from Kazakhstan compared to more than 620,000 barrels in November 2009.

In 2009 the U.S. imported 4.6 million barrels of oil from Kazakhstan compared to more than 3.2 million barrels in 2008. In 2007, the figure was more than 3.5 million barrels of petroleum products, and the figure was 2.5 million barrels in 2006.
