Azerenergy (power production and distribution in Azerbaijan) generated about 11.7 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity in January-July compared to over 11 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity for corresponding period of 2010, the company said.
Some 9.8 billion kilowatt-hours of total volume of electricity generated during this period fell on thermoelectric power plants and the remaining part on hydroelectric power plants.
Azerenergy generated 1.6 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity in July, about 1.4 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity accounted for thermoelectric power plants, while over 0.2 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity for hydroelectric power plants.
