Sangachal terminal receives 15 million barrels of oil in Nov.

In November Sangachal terminal received more than 1.44 million barrels of gas condensate from Azerbaijani Shah Deniz field, a source in oil and gas market told Trend on Tuesday. Some 1,2 million tons (9.6 million barrels) of condensate were extracted from Shah Deniz field in January-September.

The contract to develop the offshore Shah Deniz field was signed on June 4, 1996. Participants to the agreement are: BP (operator) - 25.5 percent, Statoil - 25.5 percent, NICO - 10 percent, Total - 10 percent, Lukoil - 10 percent, TPAO - 9 percent, SOCAR-10 percent.

In November the terminal received about 14.7 million barrels of oil from Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli (ACG) block in November, the source said. In January-September 29.9 million tons of oil (206.8 million barrels) were extracted in the block.

The Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli contract was signed in 1994.

ACG participating interests are: BP (operator - 35,78 per cent), Chevron (11,27 per cent), Inpex (10,96 per cent), AzACG (11,65 per cent), Statoil (8.6 per cent), ExxonMobil (8 per cent), TPAO (6.75 per cent), ITOCHU (4.3 per cent), Hess (2.72 per cent).

Sangachal terminal was built to ensure transportation of oil and gas, extracted within the development project of Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli oil and gas fields in the Azerbaijani sector of the Caspian Sea. The terminal ensures transportation of gas and condensate extracted in Shah Deniz gas condensate field.
