The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) exported 1.99 million tons of oil via the Baku-Novorossiysk pipeline in 2011 compared to 2.24 million tons in 2010, SOCAR said on Thursday.
SOCAR exported about 155,700 tons of oil from Novorossiysk in December 2011 compared to about 165,580 tons in December 2010.
SOCAR exported 2.24 million tons of oil from Novorossiysk in 2010 compared to about 2.5 million tons in 2009.
SOCAR transships its own oil, as well as oil of joint ventures and operating companies operating in Azerbaijan's onshore fields, through Novorossiysk.
Until late 2007, AIOC was the operator of Baku-Novorossiysk. The structure then transferred these functions to SOCAR.
