Large wind energy park project proceeds in Azerbaijan

The Caspian Technology Company plans to complete the construction of a wind energy regeneration park in the settlement of Jashma in the Khizi region of Azerbaijan, the company told Trend on Thursday.

"All operations on the territory and road construction have been completed," the company said. "However, the construction of the regeneration facilities will begin after the equipment is delivered."

The equipment delivery will begin after April, when the Caspian Sea navigation season opens. The equipment will be installed in stages as it is delivered.

"If the equipment is delivered before September, tpark construction process will be completed by the end of this year," a source said.
"The work will be completed in 2013 in case of delays."

The total capacity of the park, which will consist of 16 wind turbines, will hit 48 megawatts. The facilities planned to be used in the project are made by Vestas, based on a long-term contract with the Caspian Technology Company.
