SOCAR's Geophysics and Geology Department has completed the interpretation of two-dimensional seismic survey carried out on the offshore Goshadash structure, the official website of the department said on Saturday.
According to the report, the re-interpretation significantly allowed the clarification of the geological structure, amplitude and direction of the tectonic break-up.
According to the report, it is necessary to conduct a three-dimensional seismic survey to determine the characteristics of layers, area of spreading the layers and to reveal the points of the well drilling on the structure.
Currently, SOCAR is drilling the first exploration well the depth of which will be 3500 metres at Goshadash.
SOCAR includes the Azneft production association (the companies producing oil and gas on and offshore), the Azerkimya industrial association (chemical enterprises) and Azerigaz industrial association (gas distribution).
