Baku energy operator increases electricity purchases

Bakielektrikshebeke (sale and distribution of electricity in Baku) has bought around 7.7 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity in January-November 2012 from Azerenergy (production and distribution of electricity in Azerbaijani regions), the company told Trend on Thursday.

Bakielektrikshebeke (sale and distribution of electricity in Baku) has bought around 7.7 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity in January-November 2012 from Azerenergy (production and distribution of electricity in Azerbaijani regions), the company told Trend on Thursday.

According to the information, Bakielektrikshebeke bought 693.2 million kilowatt-hours of electricity in November compared to 597.3 million kilowatt hours in October.

The company bought approximately 8.21 billion kilowatt hours of electricity from Azerenergy in 2011 compared to about 7.92 billion kilowatt hours in 2010.

In January-November Bakielektrikshebeke paid 94.45 per cent for electricity obtained from Azerenergy.

Payment for electricity supplied in 2011 amounted to an average of 92.2 per cent compared to 96.2 per cent in 2010.
