On Tuesday, SOCAR (State Oil Company of Azerbaijan) put into operation two new installations at 'Ethylene-Polyethylene' plant of 'Azerikimya' Production Association in Sumgayit.
In particular, the company commissioned a water cooling complex (cooling speed of 21,000 cubic meters per hour), and a nitrogen-oxygen installation.
The commissioning ceremony was attended by the head of SOCAR Rovnag Abdullayev, the head of the Executive Power of Sumgayit Eldar Azizov, the head of 'Azerikimya' Mukhtar Babayev and other senior representatives of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan.
SOCAR includes Azneft (onshore and offshore oil and gas production), Azerkimya (chemical industry) and Azerigas (gas distribution) production associations, as well as a number of processing enterprises, service enterprises and institutions engaged in geophysical and drilling operations.
