Astana, Kazakhstan, April 22
By Daniyar Mukhtarov - Trend:

The export of Kazakh oil through the territory of the member countries of the Eurasian Economic Union will be simplified, the Kazakh vice Minister of Oil and Gas, Magzum Mirzagaliev said.

"The establishment of the Eurasian Economic Union will provide a significant advantage to Kazakh oil workers. Foremost, it is the expansion of possibilities in exports. Under the conditions of the EAU, transportation mechanisms of Kazakh oil for export, including customs clearance and organizational issues will be simplified," he said.

Mirzagaliev recalled that large volumes of Kazakh oil (about 60 percent) are exported through Russian territory, and then export partially passes through Belarus.

"By taking into the account this factor, we see significant advantages in ensuring high profitability for Kazakhstan by means of oil exports," Mirzagaliev said.

As reported earlier, presently the negotiating teams from Russia, Kazakhstan and Belarus are working on an agreement on the Eurasian Economic Union, the signing of which is planned by the heads of the three states at the end of May.
