Big oil, gas, petrochemical brands to gather in Tehran

The world's biggest brands of oil, gas, and petrochemicals are scheduled to gather in Tehran on Nov. 28 to attend a conference in which the Iranian Oil Ministry will unveil its newly formed contracts called IPC (Iran petroleum contract).
Companies from 45 countries are going to attend the conference, head of the Tehran Conference Mehdi Hosseini said, adding that of the 335 companies attending, 152 will come from abroad, SHANA news agency reported November 27.
Shell, Total, Eni, Lukoil, Sinopec, DNO, Woodside Petroleum, Petronas, GPSC, and a host of other world giants are slated to be present in the conference.
During the conference, to be held in Tehran Summit Conference Hall, Hosseini will brief the audience about a two-year process that went into preparing the contracts. Oil Minister Bijan Zanganeh will then introduce the contracts.
The IPCs are designed as to attract especially foreign investors and transfer technology to Iran's oil industry which has been facing developmental problems under international sanctions.
