Azerbaijan produced 17,800 tons of polyethylene in January-February 2016, which is 7.8 percent more than in the same period of 2015, the Azerbaijani State Statistics Committee said in its report as of January-February 2016.
The country produced 8,300 tons of propylene in January-February 2016, or 5.4 percent less than in the same period of 2015.
Some 10,200 tons of barium sulfate were produced in Azerbaijan during the reporting period, which is 18.9 percent more than in the same period of 2015.
Around 3,040 tons of isopropyl alcohol were produced in the country in January-February, which is 2.4 times more than in the same period of 2015, the report said.
However, Azerbaijan saw an increase in the production of other major types of chemical products in January-February 2016.

The country produced 0,770 tons of solid polyethylene pipes, tubes and hoses, which is 63.9 percent less than in the same period of 2015.
