Four Iranian oil tankers have been rented by Greek and Singaporean companies since the elimination of sanctions in mid-January, the National Iranian Tanker Company's CEO Ali Akbar Safaei told IRNA May 16.
He said negotiations are also being held with Shell, BP and Total on leasing more Iranian oil tankers.
Safaei didn't elaborate on the negotiations, but said there is good news to be announced in the near future.
He was earlier reported to say the sanctions on the Iranian shipping lines had been completely removed and now there is no problem for Iranian tankers to travel to ports around the world.
