Russia’s Novorossiysk port increases oil transshipment

Russia’s Novorossiysk international sea trade port transshipped 41.04 million tons of oil in H1 2016 as compared to 38.19 million tons in the same period in 2015, read a message posted on the port’s website.

During the period, Novorossiysk port transshipped 16.79 million tons of oil products as compared to 16.7 million tons in January-June 2015.

In total, 74.4 million tons of various cargoes were transshipped via the port in January-June 2016 as compared to 70.19 million tons in the same period in 2015.

Azerbaijan’s state oil company SOCAR transships its oil via the Novorossiysk port. The oil is delivered to the port via the Baku-Novorossiysk pipeline.
