Turkish company to enter alternative energy sector in Uzbekistan

Turkey's ETKO CO ENERJI A.S. plans to build wind power plant in Uzbekistan, the National News Agency of Uzbekistan reported.
According to the information,the station will be built in Baysun district of the Surkhandaryo region.
The project will be carried out within the framework of Surkhandaryo Region Development Concept 2019-2030.
The work is underway on technical and economic planning of the project. The 600-megawatt plant is planned to be commissioned by 2020.
The plant will allow supplying Baysun and Sherabad districts with uninterrupted alternative energy.
