The Iran Customs and Border Protection organization has seized a cargo of 225,900 kg of petrochemical products, which were to be smuggled across the border, according to a statement from the Iranian Customs Administration.

According to the statement, the Bazargan border check-point customs officers managed to stop the shipment in time.

With the introduction of the comprehensive customs system and customs clearance in Iran, all the goods and information are only provided through the system.

Bazargan border check-point is in west Azerbaijan province - a common border between Iran and Turkey and is close to Bazargan city. The distance of this border to Orumieh, the center of west Azerbaijan province is 300 km.

Neighboring with Azerbaijan, Turkey and Iraq has led western Azerbaijan province, particularly "Bazargan border" to become one of the major centers for traffic of goods and passenger through road transportation.
