A network of gas stations may be created with the participation of Chinese and Kazakh companies in Uzbekistan in the near future, Trend reports via Uzbek media.

"We aim to open our market for petroleum products. The first steps have already been taken. Refueling of Russian company "Lukoil", which imports high-quality fuel, is currently operating in Uzbekistan," Chairman of the Board of the Uzbekneftegaz company Bahodirjon Sidikov said at a conference in Tashkent..

"The second step is to start work with Tatneft, another Russian company, on the operation of its gas stations. We are also working on creating a network of gas stations with our Kazakh and Chinese partners,” he added.

He stated that Kazakhstan's oil will be processed and sold as finished products through new gas stations in the Bukhara refinery.

"In addition, we do not exclude that if Kazakh oil products are competitive, they will be sold in the domestic market of Uzbekistan," Sidikov noted.

He added that the main task of the company now is to provide the domestic market with a sufficient amount of good quality oil products.

In July 2019, Kazakhstan intends to begin exporting gasoline to the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union, in particular, to Kyrgyzstan and Belarus. Uzbekistan will be the first country to receive Kazakh gasoline.
