By Huseyn Hasanov - Trend:

A number of gas stations in Turkmenistan started to sell a new type of fuel, gas gasoline ECO-93, which corresponds to the EURO-5 standard, Trend reports with reference to Turkmengas state concern.

A plant for the production of synthetic gasoline from natural gas, which was recently commissioned in the Ahal region of the country, began production of this product.

The cost of one liter of ECO-93 fuel is two Turkmen manats. This is slightly more expensive compared to other types of motor gasoline sold in Turkmenistan: AI-95, A-92 and A-80.

The report says that less carbon is formed in the engine in case of regular refueling with ECO-93 gasoline, which doubles its service life.

In addition, when using gasoline ECO-93 in the exhaust gases of a car, the carbon monoxide content is 0.03 percent, while according to current standards it should be no higher than 0.5 percent.

At the same time, exhaust pipe does not emit hydrocarbons. When using gasoline brand ECO-93, harmful emissions of sulfur oxide reduce 50 times, nitrogen oxide - five times, carbon oxide - twice, hydrocarbons - by 20 percent.

The new plant in Ovadandepe is designed for the annual production of 600,000 tons of gasoline brand ECO-93. The project was implemented under the contract of Turkmengas with a consortium of Japanese Kawasaki and Turkish Rönesans.

($1 = 3,51 TMM on July 2).
