Number of solar panel plants operating in Iran’s Tabriz city revealed

As many as 38 solar panel plants operate in Tabriz city of Iran’s East Azerbaijan province, Managing Director of Tabriz Electric Power Distribution Company Adil Kazemi said, Trend reports via IRNA.

Kazemi said that these plants generally produce 504 kilowatt-hours of electricity.

The managing director added that 108 kilowatt-hours of electricity are purchased by Iran’s Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Organization.

According to the issued licenses and signed contracts, 17 solar panel plants will be built in the coming years with the capacity of 257 kilowatt-hours of electricity, Kazemi noted.

The managing director also said that a license was issued for construction of two solar panel plants with total capacity of 8 megawatts and if investors build the plants, the produced electricity will be transferred to the electric power grid.
