The volume of oil production at Azerbaijan’s Mishovdagh and Kelameddin fields is forecasted to be 655,300 barrels, which is 33,700 barrels less than the forecast of 2019, Trend reports referring to the country’s State Oil Fund (SOFAZ).

In 2018, the volume of oil production at these onshore fields amounted to 700,000 barrels, SOFAZ said.

The contract for the development of these fields was signed on October 12, 2000.

The operator of the fields is Karasu Operating Company. In 2007, the company produced 265,000 tons of oil from these fields.

The Kelameddin field was launched in 1980. From that time until October 1, 2000, 1.1 million tons were extracted from the field. Some 142 wells were drilled at the field.

The Mishovdagh field has been operating since 1956. Since that time, 17.6 million tons of oil were produced from this field.
