Iran completes water management and electricity projects in six provinces

BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 3

As many as 41 water management and electricity projects have been completed in six provinces of Iran, Trend reports citing the country's Ministry of Energy.

The cost of these projects is estimated at 30 trillion rials (about $ 714 million).

These projects were completed in Western Azerbaijan, Isfahan, Zanjan, Kirman, Qazvin and Lorestan provinces.

Two power stations, electric transmission lines, rural water supply infrastructure and other projects have been completed.

Due to spread of coronavirus, the facilities were commissioned with participation of Iran's energy minister Reza Ardakanian through video conferencing.

In the second half of current Iranian year (September 23, 2019), it was decided to commission 227 projects worth 330 trillion rials (about $ 7.85 billion) in the water management and electricity sectors in 31 provinces.
