Oil pipeline repaired at Iran’s Dehloran field

BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 5

The oil pipeline of 27th phase of Dehloran oil field in Kermanshah province in western Iran has been repaired, said Deputy Head of Cheshmeh Khosh Operational Zone, Dehloran and Sarkan oil fields Nasir Mohammadi, Trend reports citing Iranian Central Oil Fields Company.

According to Mohammadi, the pipeline was damaged by recent rains and landslides.

Mohammadi added that the 8-inch oil pipeline was repaired within a week.

According to the report of the company, the Dehloran Oil Exploitation Department is one of the operating departments of the Western Oil and Gas Exploitation Company located in southwest of Dehloran county. The Dehloran and Danan fields produce 55,000 barrels of oil per day. The extracted oil is processed at the plant of this department and then sent to the Cheshmeh Khosh Desalination Plant via 52-km long 16-inch pipeline.

The Dehloran oil field (this field is called Abu Ghraib in Iraq) is located 180 km south of Kermanshah city and 22 km southwest of Dehloran county. The Dehloran field was discovered in 1972. The field produces 25,000 barrels of oil per day.
