It is planned to increase the production of the Arvandan Oil and Gas Company in the Khuzestan Province (southwestern Iran) to 1 million barrels per day, Managing Director of the company Jahangir Pourhang said, Trend reports citing the company’s website.
Pourhang stressed that at present, it is possible to produce more than 400,000 barrels of oil per day in areas controlled by the company.
In addition, more than 700,000 barrels of oil per day can be transport to different destinations for use, he added.
The director noted that as the company's production increases by 1 million barrels per day, the transportation of crude oil will increase by the same amount.
"Currently, the South Azadegan, South Yaran, Sohrab, Sepehr, Susangerd, Arvand and Darkhovin fields are being developed," he said.
The Arvandan Oil and Gas Company operates under the auspices of the National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC). The company can also produce 7.64 million cubic meters (270 million cubic feet) of gas per day.
According to the company’s plan, the production of company will be increased to 1 million barrels in 2025.
